Mitzi Mayfield has practiced Civil Trial Law for 20 years. She regularly represents clients in general civil litigation, trucking and automobile litigation, commercial litigation, medical malpractice, premises liability and products liability litigation. Ms. Mayfield also practices in the areas of oil and gas litigation and business litigation and has defended clients against intentional tort claims of libel and slander. Additionally, she has handled matters involving medical committee and medical peer review committee privileges and represented pharmacists in matters pending before the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
Mitzi was named a Texas Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly Magazine for 2009-2011. She also lectures frequently to lawyers, adjusters and risk management personnel at continuing education seminars and has served as a chairman for continuing education seminars for both the State Bar and Texas Association of Defense Council. She currently serves as Director for Amarillo Area Bar Foundation 2011-2013 as well as served as Director for Amarillo Area Bar Association. Mitzi is very active in local and state bar activities and is an active member of Texas Association of Defense Council and Defense Research Institute.
Ms. Mayfield practiced 13 years in Dallas before moving to Amarillo in 2004. Mitzi and her husband Todd have three children, Claudia, Ellen and Rollins. Her hobbies include traveling, tennis and cooking.
